Carnegie Corporation of New York has an exciting opportunity for an exceptional writer to work directly with the President to be the “voice of the President” and to be a part of the collaborative team of the Office of the President; assisting with grant making and event planning. The ideal candidate is someone who is proactive, has high initiative, energetic, very well organized, humble, patient, flexible, and works well in a fast-paced team setting.
The Coordinator of Correspondence and Special Projects will report to the President, and Chief of Staff of the President’s Office, and will be responsible for the following:
Qualifications for the position:
Undergraduate degree in and strong academic record. Superb writing skills, and the ability to write quickly, and under tight deadlines. Excellent copy editing and communication skills. Savvy user of technology, and willingness and ability to learn new software platforms. Customer service mentality. Prior experience working directly for the president of an organization or executive level management, or in a position responsible for a high volume of writing and/or editing. Flexibility with work schedule as position may require work after normal business hours and weekends. Knowledge of a second or multiple languages and familiarity with Carnegie Corporation’s program areas is helpful.
